City Council talks trash

The Hendricks City Council heard from Lin­coln County Board of Com­missioners Chairman Rick Hamer during the public forum portion of their Thursday, July 6 meeting.
Hamer expressed to the council that it had been his preference to install a fence and have manned hours two days a week for the rural garbage site, keeping it at the current location, but that did not work out. However, Ham­er proposed that since the county is paying the lum­beryard $1,500 a year for the use of the current site, he would be willing to have it on his property, provid­ing manned hours himself, in an effort to prevent the abuse the site currently sees…
