At age 98, Norma Siverson had never ridden a motorcycle, so when she saw all the motorcycles in Hendricks last Saturday, she saw an opportunity. She’s pictured here with Curtis Gould.

On Saturday, July 29, 115 motorcyclists joined together to ride in a poker run to help raise money for hospice, drawing riders from around the local area and other towns, including Huron, Watertown, St. Cloud, Clark, Sioux Falls, Brookings, Cottonwood, Canby and Ivanhoe.
The event was planned by the Hendricks Motorcycle Riders, a local group of about 25 members. It is not an official motorcycle club, however.
Scott Krier, one of the members of the group, said the idea for the group got its start last year when he and 12 other riders took a trip to Deadwood, South Dakota, and while riding around the Black Hills, decided to start something locally.
