Renovations are underway on the chapel at the Hendricks Community Hospital Association (HCHA). Once completed, the chapel, which for many years has served as a multipurpose room, will be used solely as a chapel. “We want it to be a place for patrons to come and have a sacred space to pray and reflect,” said HCHA Administrator Jeff Gollaher. “Things come up in the middle of the night, and now patrons will be able to meet with their clergy 24 hours a day in the chapel. This will also be a space for family to gather.”
Gollaher said the renovations will include new flooring, paint, wallpaper and seating, installation of a new sound system and stained glass windows, removal of one of the closets to expand the space, and removal of the sink and counter.
