The Hendricks City Council held their first regular meeting of 2018 on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
City Administrator David Blees presented the year-end maintenance report on behalf of Kevin Huber, which included mosquito control from the summer of 2017. The city had been fogged 19 times; hours involved totaled 51. The crew put in a number of hours on the street sweeper last year; those hours totaled 207 for the year. Some minor water leaks were included in the report as well as the fact the city’s well passed inspection. It was also reported that there is a plan to build at least ten new picnic tables. This led to a discussion by the council of whether to put picnic tables inside the campground cabins as well as outside. Most likely the picnic tables will only be on the outside, with other tables used inside.
