Trio visiting from Hawaii braves cold to experience ice fishing

Trading balmy breezes and warm waters for brisk temperatures and a frozen lake, three gentlemen from Hawaii—Logan Gonzaga, Rhys Ishihara and Matthew Noguchi—experienced ice fishing for the first time on Lake Hendricks this past weekend, having participated in the annual Ice Fishing Derby put on by the Lake Hendricks Improvement Association. Ishihara took home one of the general drawing prizes, an ice fishing pole and tackle set that he said he will come back and use another year.
