100 years and still golfing

One hundred-year-old Chris Hoversten was honored at the Hendricks Golf Club last week. Hoversten is an active member there and still golfs.

Last week, Clarence “Chris” Hoversten was recognized at the Hendricks Golf Club’s annual meeting by the members there and the United States Golf Asso­ciation (USGA), with a personal letter from Mike Davis, CEO of the USGA, acknowledging Hov­ersten’s milestone birthday and his being an example of a “life­time of joy and involvement of the game.” Davis congratulated Hoversten on his birthday and passion for the game of golf.
Hoversten was presented with a plaque from the HGC Board, that will hang on the wall at the Clubhouse on their Wall of Fame. A video of the presentation of the awards can be viewed on the Hendricks Pioneer’s Facebook page.
