Commissioners hear update on prescription drug collection program

Sheriff Chad Meester provided an update to the Lincoln County Commissioners on the prescription drug collection program. To-date, 21 pounds have been collected.

During their Tuesday, May 1 meeting, the Lin­coln County Board of Commissioners heard from Sheriff Chad Meester, who provided an update on the new prescription drug collection program.
In January this year, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced they had partnered with CVS Health and The Partner­ship for Drug-Free Kids to provide the first drug collection box in Lincoln County. The collection box is located in the lobby of the law enforcement center and the public can drop off unused prescrip­tions anytime, day or night.
