Hendricks School Board votes to stay with SWEC, alter terms

During the Tuesday, May 15 meeting of the Hendricks School Board, Chairman Tom Olson told the board they need to decide if they were going to remain with SWEC, as the deadline for noti­fication to pull out of the agree­ment with Lynd is nearing. Hen­dricks has been working with the Lynd School District, sharing the Superintendent and other staff, with SWEC holding those con­tracts and the districts splitting the costs. Up until last year, RTR had also been part of SWEC. Ol­son said SWEC is a formalization of what the districts had already been doing. The agreement is a five-year agreement with a two-year notification period to pull out.
