Council views new ambulance

Hendricks City Council mem­bers were able to see the new ambulance during their Monday, June 18 meeting. Hendricks Am­bulance Coordinator Dave Mc­Cormick brought it down to city hall to thank the city for their contribution toward the pur­chase and to give them the op­portunity to see firsthand what the city funds, combined with the hospital’s, had purchased.
McCormick told the council members the ambulance is a 2016 model with 16,000 miles on it. It cost $174,000, plus graphics, which cost $3,500, and the cost of switching over the radios, which is unknown as the final bill hasn’t been re­ceived, but that cost is expected to be under $2,000. McCormick explained that a new ambulance would cost $230,000…
