The Hendricks City Council met for their regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 17. Council member Judy Pearson was absent from the meeting.
Discussion began with old business. City Administrator David Blees reported that DEED is strongly encouraging that the city establish a construction fund, which will contain the city’s portion of the Xcel Energy O&M East project funding, amounting to $178,500. Blees proposes pulling $89,250 from the water fund and another $89,250 from the sewer fund. The council approved transferring the funds to the new fund. If the grant is not approved, Blees will transfer the funds back into the original accounts.
