The Estelline-Hendricks Redhawks Cross Country Team ran the game ball from Estelline, South Dakota to Hendricks on Sunday, Oct. 7 to kickoff the Homecoming activities in Hendricks. Each of the cross country runners carried the ball one or two miles, then handed it off to the next runner. The run was started by Jacob Buschenfeld, the only senior on the team. The entire team ran the ball together the last half mile of the run to the clubhouse at the Hendricks Golf Course. The entire run took about three hours and 24 minutes. It was a fun, team-bonding experience enjoyed by everyone on the team from the sixth graders to the varsity runners.
