Back in the mid-1970s when Jim and Crystal Moravetz drove their kids around Hendricks for trick-or-treating, they would always stop at Wally and Clara Schultz’s home at 305 Lake Street for a homemade popcorn ball. I think it was the consensus of most kids back then, to stop at the Schulz’s. Parents even walked their kids up to the door, in hopes they would get one, too. Kids would bring two masks so they could go twice.
Clara continued the tradition until she was no longer able to do it.
