County Commissioners kept busy at first meeting of the year

Lincoln County Engineer Joe Wilson reported that a server used by the Roads and Bridges Department has reached its life expectancy. He will present a quote for a replacement server in a future meeting.

The Lincoln County Commissioners met for their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Court Administrator Wen­dy Rost administered the Oath of Office to new/ re-elected officials: Com­missioner District 2 Mic VanDeVere, Commissioner District 4 Joe Drietz, Audi­tor-Treasurer Deb Vierhuf, Recorder Michelle Facile, Sheriff Chad Meester, and Attorney Glen Petersen. VanDeVere was selected as board chair, with Drietz selected as vice-chair.
The board approved sev­eral resolutions. The coun­ty board also approved the 2019 Commissioner Com­mittee Appointments. The resolutions and appoint­ments are similar to previ­ous years’ appointments and resolutions.
