40th annual LHIA Fishing Derby doubles population of Hendricks

The 40th annual Lake Hendricks Improvement Association (LHIA) Fishing Derby was given a thumbs-up Saturday, Feb. 2, after the event came to an end around 3 p.m. LHIA Secretary/Treasurer and tournament director Tom Landmark said an estimated 500-700 people were in attendance. “One of the best ever,” Landmark said.
Participants caught a total of 10 perch, five northern and four walleye during the tournament.
