The Estelline-Hendricks Redhawks boys and girls basketball teams missed out on a doubleheader scheduled for Jan. 29 against Waverly-South Shore due to winter weather. School and all activities were put on hold for three days as the bitter cold snap swept through the Midwest.
The boys came off a week of no practice to play Elkton-Lake Benton on Jan. 31 in Hendricks.
With a shooting percentage as cold as the temperatures, the Redhawks fell to the Elks 64-26, despite getting more shots off than Elkton-Lake Benton.
