The Hendricks School Board continued discussion on possible installation of safety doors for the school building at last week’s regular monthly meeting. Superintendent Paul Chick and Board Member Gary Johnson were absent due to volleyball coaching commitments.
One option has been to replace the interior doors in the current main entrance at a cost of $13,000. The other option was to do more significant remodeling on the east end of the school to create a separate secure entrance for students as well as add office space at a cost of $38,000.
