Jim’s Repair will be closing its doors for good after nearly 30 years

Jim Gawerecki’s restored tractors have been part of the Saddle Horse Holiday Parade for several years. Jim is retiring from the tractor repair and restoration business in the near future.

For nearly 30 years, Jim’s Repair in Lake Benton has been a shop where local farmers could take their tractors for repair and/or restoration. That availability is changing soon. Late last year, Jim Gawerecki, owner of Jim’s Repair, announced his intention to sell his building and retire.
Jim Gawerecki opened Jim’s Repair the first time in 1989. In 2001, the business closed for approximately four years so he could take time to heal from a back injury that resulted in surgery. During that time Construction Partners used the building…
