Rosalyn Pearl (Dunte­man) Zvorak, age 95 of Cold Spring, passed away Sept. 12 at the Assumption Nursing Home. A memori­al service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. A gathering of relatives and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.
Rosalyn was born in Lyon County on May 16, 1922 to Herman and Laura (Sathoff) Dunte­man. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Tracy, and graduated from Tra­cy High School. Rosalyn graduated from the Mar­shall Nursing School and later completed her LPN degree. She was united in marriage to Charles F. Zvorak on Dec. 23, 1944. To this union three sons were born, Royce, Charles A. and Dwight.
Rosalyn spent the major­ity of her life in Russell and in her later years moved to Cold Spring. Her career as a nurse was spent primar­ily at the A.L. Vadhein Me­morial Hospital in Tyler; she retired after 47 years of service. Rosalyn was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 460 and was involved with Cub Scouting when her sons were younger. She was active with the United Presbyterian Women at the First Presbyterian Church in Russell, the Senior Citi­zens group of Cold Spring, and was leader of the Loss Support Group. Rosalyn enjoyed gardening and supplying friends and fam­ily with summertime pro­duce and delighted many people with her counted-cross-stitch creations. She was a devoted wife and mother and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons—Royce and Marisa (Lòpez), Charles A. and Lee Ann (Braun), and Dwight and Paulette (Buesing); six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and special friend Avis Ander­son.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F.; her parents; her parents-in-law Roy and Ellen (Erickson) Zvorak; brother Gerald Dunteman and sisters Viona Pagel, Annola Pagel and Laurene Harris.
