Beverly Jane Lambert passed away peacefully at her home in The Woodlands, Texas on Jan. 13.
Beverly was born to Danish parents Soren and Stella Larsen on Dec. 15, 1933 and raised in Tyler. After graduating from high school, Beverly attended the Minneapolis School of Business. After completing her courses, she joined her sister Ann to work in Los Angeles, California as a secretary. Eventually, she moved to Washington D.C., where she met the “love of her life,” Glenn P. Lambert, who was in the Marine Corps. They married and remained happily so for over 62 years.
Beverly and Glynn raised three sons and traveled the wide world in the military for the next 18 years, before retiring in Austin, Texas. While in Austin, they opened a small chain of convenience stores named Dandy’s, where she became the food manager for the deli. After selling the stores, Beverly and Glynn wanted to be closer to their children and grandchildren so they retired and moved to Windsor Lakes in The Woodlands, Texas, where they had lived for the last 13 years.
Beverly deeply loved her husband, three sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She also loved bowling. She loved her dogs and she loved traveling and cruises, especially to Asia.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Soren and Stella Larsen, her sister Ann Weinact, and her three brothers— Reed, Robert and Darrell.
She is survived by her husband Glynn; her children Rick Lambert, Jeff and Christi Lambert, and Garner and Debbie Lambert; her grandchildren Wesley and Jacqueline Adams, Marissa Lambert and Nicolette Lambert; as well as her sister-in-law and husband Shirley and L.B. Cowan, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was loved by all and will be missed very much.
