School board discusses involvement in communities

A discussion was held on school participation in community events at last week’s regular meeting of the RTR School Board. Interim Superintendent Lee Warne asked that a written policy be created to make sure that each of the three communities receives equal time with school participation at their respective events. In the past, concerns have been raised about lack of participation in the Fourth of July parade in Ruthton. Board member Troy Chandler raised concerns over the repercussions of forcing a student to participate in an event.
