Some things just never get old. I have been around the sports arena of the Tyler and RTR scene for 52 years. In that time I have witnessed many out­standing sporting events. The game with the Min­neota Vikings last Thurs­day ranked right up there with the top events. This is also the first time both the football team and the bas­ketball team played in the state tournament the same school year. Yes, most of the fans were completely drained at games’ end. One person even blamed me for the poor first half the Knights played. He felt that using a red pen to keep the book was a bad thing to do in such an important game.
The start of the game last Thursday was not a thing of beauty for the Knights. The Vikings shot over 60 percent the first half and the Knights did not play their normal tough defense, giving the Vikings some easy baskets…
